“Our project was a two phase project which was completed in two summers.

Phase One - backyard riverbank; Alpine came in and cut the river bank back and created an area close to the river that we could enjoy - built up with huge boulders creating a waterfall with a sitting area and fire pit; rock stairs down to this area and then additional rock stair down to the water front. It is amazing and far exceeded our expectations.

Phase Two - backyard; we installed an inground pool in which Alpine did all the surrounding rock and patio block, more rock stairs and they built a privacy fence. Again, they did a great job on this phase of the project and we are very happy with it.”

Back Yard Grading & Removing of Old Shed

“Very professional. They came and remove an old shed, put up a temporary fence as I have a dog and there was a gap left by the removal of the building. They did grading and grass seeding in the back yard, they went the extra mile by cutting a few branches that were making too much shade, they left the temporary fence up after completion of work as I needed a bit of time to fence that area. The grass started growing within time frame indicated by Rick. The staff is professional and reliable. I am a satisfied customer. I called again as I need some branches/trees to be cut and soil for raised beds. Krystal quickly replies to e-mails.”

Retaining Wall/Planters, Planting and Mulch

“Our existing retaining wall planters at the front of our house required repairs and new cap stones. We also asked Swiss Alpine to design a solution for a new retaining wall planter to finish off the side of our garage. The design presented to us definitely hit the mark and they were able to source materials to match our existing planter for a very cohesive result. New shrubs/perennials and mulch were installed in all our planters and we are very pleased with the results. Rick and his crew arrived to start work when promised, completed the job on schedule and on budget. We were especially impressed with their attention to detail and work ethic. The job site was kept neat and tidy throughout the process and the team made sure we were completely happy with the results once the work was complete. Swiss Alpine will definitely get a call when we need to tackle another project!”

Design and Installation of Front Yard Landscape

“We began working with Swiss Alpine in early spring when we met to discuss our project. They listened to our all of our ideas and came back to us with a design that completely blew us away. The project definitely had some unique challenges but they worked them in beautifully.

We built a new home in an older existing neighborhood. The project included hardscape; large front staircase, patio and walkways, and extensive boulder work. The soft scape components included perennial gardens, trees and shrubs and front lawn.

The entire project took a month to install. The team worked hard every day, in very hot weather and always left the site neat and tidy at the days end. During the process they handled any changes or special requests with professionalism and a willingness to meet our wishes and ideas.

We are currently enjoying the beautiful landscape that Swiss Alpine provided us and hope to work with them again in the future.”

New Front Lawn, Stone Work Creating New Walkway, Front Stairs and Pathway to Backyard, New Front Retaining Wall for Shrubbery, New Shrubbery

“The front yard was leveled and a new front lawn installed by Swiss Alpine Landscaping. In addition, a new front sidewalk and pathway was created from stone, as well as a retaining wall for shrubbery in the front yard. In the back yard new pathway blocks were installed plus crushed granite stone. A ramp was created to a shed from the blocks as well. New shrubbery was planted throughout the front and side yard. New hand railings installed on both sides of front steps.

From start to finish the work was professional by all individuals involved. They were very courteous and considerate of our situation. We could not have asked for a better crew.

Subsequent to the work completed, the follow-up by Swiss Alpine Landscaping to ensure our satisfaction has been appreciated.

“We had a horrible water problem where we were the lowest lot on the block and collected everyones water. Rick and his crew came in and built up our grade and gave our yard some slope so that the water had somewhere to run. We then had them lay out limestone for our patio and also a sand pad for our pool. We will have them back in the springtime to spread & level our top soil so we can seed. The Swiss Alpine crew did great work!!!”

“(We recently built a house in a flood zone. Had to bring in 200 loads of fill to meet the provincial protection level) Rick dug a trench for our garage drain and installed a dry well. Very glad he had some suggestions on how this should be done. I had a dumb idea on how to do it that would have failed in the future. Had to bring the grade up in the garage. he operated the skid steer & mini hoe inside the garage spreading and packing fill, maneuvering around 2 piles without hitting any walls. Which was impressive. He moved fill and packed it around the house with the skid steer and a dozer . Smooth and quick operator. He finished what we wanted done and stuck around to help with finishing the driveway and then dozed us a 2 mile trail through our bush!! Very happy with the work . Looking forward to have Swiss alpine landscape our yard in the summer”

Patio Brick Installation

“It started with them coming to see the space. They had thoughts immediately and i liked the concepts that they pitched. They offered a few options as far as ideas for the layout and then explained the pros/cons of each and then let me choose. Loved the fact they helped in that sense.

They then provided the 'catalogs' for all the different companies/stonetypes. There was a lot to choose from which made things a little difficult as some of the products from different companies looked the same. Swiss Alpine let us go through them then come back to them with a few options and questions regarding maintenance, warranty and more. They were very quick to respond and provided the answers we needed and multiple quotes for the different types of stone.

I am not going to talk about the booking dates, as that was limited to when the stone was available. We had the patio put in during COVID so the timeline LEADING UP to the installation is beyond their control (As the stone was delayed due to factory).

Once the stone was available, everything went VERY fast. They were here the next day (they were waiting to start as well) and within 3 days the job was done. They took the time to properly dismantle a section of my fence to bring in the heavy machinery and that fence was rebuilt after perfectly, you wouldn't even know it had been removed. They were working in a tight space and managed to keep everything safe around the work area. They leveled the yard, installed the stone over a few days (rain interrupted the work for one day but not big deal) and then professionally cleaned up the non-work areas and the backlane.

I am overjoyed with the product, the craftsmanship and the price. I think it was a little more than other quotes, but the installation speed, and professionalism really means more to me now than saving a few bucks. I learned my lessons years ago that the lowest bid is never the best option.

Swiss Alpines professionalism, speed and craftsmanship really hit a home run with me. I would recommend them to everyone and I know friends have already used Swiss Alpine after seeing our new patio! A+”

Backyard Landscaping, Plus Water System, and Large Deck

I hired Swiss Alpine as they were recommended by my lawn care company. Krystal and Rick came to the site to discuss my plans. I felt like i was on a home reno tv show - they were knowledgeable, confident, honest, relaxed and had a good sense of humour. I knew I could depend on them to get the job done. I moved into a house that did not have very good landscaping and wanted to make a Oasis in the backyard for my new swim spa. I hired the right team! We raised the elevation of the backyard to improve drainage, made walking paths, added sod, installed underground sprinkler system, addded plants/trees, and a huge deck to fit the new swim spa etc...they turned it into a beautiful oasis. Permits etc were all take care of....they ALWAYS left the job site clean and tidy including my driveway when using sand/gravel, etc.

I was quite impressed with Krystal's organizational skills - she kept track of all the items, any changes i made were verified and it was clear what the financial cost would be and were happy to add a few extra items. Everything was bang-on accurate. I was also impressed with Rick' craftsmanship and he was very professional and left the job site very clean - i offered him my garage to store his tools so it saved him time moving his expensive equipment around. He accommodated having my dog around in the back yard the odd time (i tried to keep the dog out of their way)...he was always available to listen to my ideas and came up with solutions. Krystal and Rick communicated well so i didn't have to share ideas with both - if told one of them i knew they would both be on the same page. The other thing i truly admired was that they were always accommodating when i made changes including adding on two additional projects at the very end (another privacy screen and a side walkway from front driveway to back yard gate). I would not hesitate to hire them - they arranged for the permits, and even suggested a plumber for the underground sprinkler system they installed. They are worth the wait. My only wish is that they had a larger crew to get the work done faster...but in the end we are extremely happy. (Note: My onedrive is not syncing so could not add pics at this time, too bad).
